Mission Statement

The Mission of the Mid Kentucky Officials Association is to provide Fifth Region with the best possible officials to support the officiating requirements at high schools throughout the region. 

The objective of this association is supporting KSHAA in the development and regulation of all members of this association for the betterment of officiating in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.


General Information
Officials must be members of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KSHAA) and of a local officials organization, such as the MKOA. The KSHAA provides for licensing, testing, and rule books. The local association  provides training and game assignments.

KHSAA  Officiating License - 2008-2009.  The renewal licensing information has been sent.  The fees  remained the same for all sports - $40 for the first sport and $25 for each additional sport.  Re-licensing letters must be postmarked before June 30, 2008. Each re-licensing letter must be postmarked after June 30, 2008 you will be assessed a $40 late fee.

 Meeting Schedule  
    a.  We held our first General Membership meeting on 13 April 2008.  The remainder of the meetings will be posted on the meeting schedule web site. 
    b. 
For a General Membership meeting that is not scheduled, the President must give the members a minimum notice of two weeks of the proposed meeting date for the meeting to be legal.
